David was born into a “footballing family”, with his family owning Wigan Athletic for 23 years. David was educated at Shrewsbury school and studied Business Management at university before heading to work within Wigan Athletic from an early age, working closely with Roberto Martinez and Uwe Rosler before being appointed a Director in 2014 and subsequently appointed Chairman in March 2015 at the age of 23.
